Speaking of decontextualizing…


Yikes! WordPress.com is sentient!

As you can see at the bottom of this post, WordPress.com kindly adds links that it thinks are relevant to the topic at hand. On my last post, I found this link. WordPress.com answered the question I proposed for comment with a link to these:


An astute commenter on that linked post observed, “I could point out how ridiculous it is that the Bible can be used for BOTH condemnation and acceptance of gay people.”
Indeed, but is the fault with the Bible or its readers?
In a book as long and wide and deep as the Bible, I’d wager that you can prove both sides of almost any issue, so long as you disregard context.
